Payment limits
Understand project payment amount and request-rate limits.
Payment limits apply to a project and environment. The plan sets default maximum amounts and write request rates; an approved project override can change the effective values.
| Plan | Maximum amount per payment | Write requests per minute |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | PHP 10,000 | 30 |
| Standard | PHP 100,000 | 120 |
| Pro | PHP 1,000,000 | 600 |
| Enterprise | No plan maximum | No plan limit |
The gateway may enforce a lower project-specific override. Use api.payments.capabilities.get() from the APICenter SDK to inspect the operations and payment methods enabled for the current environment. The capabilities response does not replace server-side authorization or project limit checks.
An amount above the effective limit returns 422 AMOUNT_LIMIT_EXCEEDED. Exceeding the project's payment write rate returns 429 PAYMENT_RATE_LIMIT_EXCEEDED. For either error, preserve the original idempotency key when retrying the same payment request. Live payment-key provisioning may require an approved payments.live_access request. Ask an APICenter administrator about live access or a limit change; operator approval and override procedures are maintained separately in the internal docs/ collection.
